Is your VIZIO remote giving you a hard time? No worries! We've got some easy tips below.
Refresh Your Remote and TV
Remote Revamp:
- Take out the batteries from your remote.
- Give all the buttons a press to ensure none are stuck.
- Pop the batteries back in.
Give it a whirl and see if it's back to its zappy self!
TV Timeout:
- Unplug your TV for a quick 5-second breather.
- Plug it back in and switch it on.
Clear the Way
- Make sure there's nothing blocking the sensor at the bottom corners of your TV.
Battery Boost
- Swap in some fresh batteries, ensuring they're facing the right way.
- Important: if you are not going to use your TV remote as your main remote, please remove the batteries before you store it.
Remote Swap
- If you've got another remote, try it out. They're usually interchangeable between VIZIO OS TVs.
Button Behavior Check
- Some buttons only work with specific content:
- Channel buttons are for antenna or direct coaxial connections.
- Play and pause are for apps, not for live TV or external devices.
